My Fathert FO George Turton, aged 38, was killed in an enemy bombing raid on Gosport Airfield, Near Portsmouth, on 27 April 1944 while serving with RAF Movement Control.

I would appreciate any relevant information about this event, or of Movement Control more generally.

Would be interested in movements as they relate to Coastal Command Fortresses stored at the so-called 'Gosport Pool' from October 1944 on.
