(wounded) aimen captured 27/28 Jan. 1943Hello, On Wednesday 27 January 1943 two English airmen landed in the Oploo area, one of which was (severely) wounded. This wounded man was brought to the Boxmeer hospital. I'm looking for info leading to the airmen's names and which op. they were flying. Could they be linked to 51 sq. Halifax DT705 or DT721, op. Düsseldorf ? These two bombers came down in Mill and "Huize Padua" near Boekel respectively both villages not that far from the area where those men were found (and arrested later on). Any hints much appreciated. KR, Hans ....Read More.HansO on 16th January 2008 09:12:59
