Final FarewellHello, The information comes from Bill Chorley's "Bomber Command Losses" volume 2 (1941), page 121 : P/O EVILL was the pilot, the rest of the crew was made of Sgt K.M. TOMPKINS, Sgt C.P. O'DELL, Sgt D MacL DUFFY, RCAF and Sgt T.H PARK, RCAF. They took off on 18th August 1941 at 2223 from Leeming aboard Whitley V Z6564 coded ZA-Z, to bomb Cologne. They crashed near Rekem (Limburg) 14 km ESE of Genk, Belgium. All are buried in Rekem communal cemetery. Sgt PARK RCAF was an American from Jersey City. As there were two RCAF men onboard, you may find some details from the National Archives of Canada. The Squadron Operations Record Book (in The National Archives, Kew, London) might help to rebuild their tour of operations. Hope this helps.
