Hi guys
A wonderful character. I recall having a pub lunch and a few drinks with him and on another occasion having a drink with him and another great character Guy Marsland. Bunny had been a pre-war gentleman motor racer at Brooklands and elsewhere, and post-war was a professional artist of high repute.
Happy memories

Hello,
There's a picture of him that I fancy a lot : he's posing with 3 other Hurricane pilots and a couple of French Morane pilots from Groupe de Chasse III/1, at Rely (Norrent-Fontes) airfield. The picture was probably taken on 13th May 1940, and appears, if my memory serves me well, in "Biggin on the bump", as well as in "Rely un aérodrome du Pas-de-Calais en guerre".
Wasn't he then a member of No. 79 Squadron, rather than No. 3 Squadron ? He's clearly shown on their ORB.
A most interesting character indeed.

Hi Joss
More water in your claret!!
That was Donald 'Dimsie' Stones. He, too, was a great character. He once owned an alcoholic chicken!
Sadly I didn't have the honour of meeting him
Cheers

Hello Brian,
Bad confusion of mine ! I should have checked my books instead of relying on my memory. Advanced signs of Alzheimer disease ?

Don't say that, Joss, just put it down to bad wine, like I do!!
