What were the places of death registration for:
A - Died on active service:
Sgt Thomas J. PERRIN - 1313101;
F/Lt Allan M. THOMSON - 77050, and
Sgt Norman P. WISEMAN - 929513 - 206 Sqn (Benbecula).
B - Killed on active service:
F/Sgt (Pilot) Robert F. WELLS - 1384086.
C - Proposed aircraft losses:
Hurricane I - P2822 - 59 OTU - aircraft abandoned 2½ mile NE of Milfield.
Lancaster I - W4200 - 1656 CU - crashed on take-off Lindholme, Yorkshire.
Master II - W9093 - 17 (P)AFU - flew into high ground Llangollen, Denbighshire.
Beaufighter XI - JM123 - 404 Sqn - bellylanded Sumburgh, Shetlands.
Beaufort I - EL139 - 9 (C)OTU - crashed on landing Longtown, Cumberland.
Master II - AZ658 - 17 (P)AFU - crashed on overshoot at night ½ mile NW of Calveley (already as a casualty on this a/c: Sgt [Pilot] W. FREDERICK - RCAF R/147185).
Mustang I - AM113 - 2 Sqn - abandoned Welbeck Farm, Terrington St. Clements, Norfolk.
D - Also looking for unit and possible cause of death of following airmen:
LAC Charles P. ANKEN - 939146 - buried Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada, and
Sgt Ronbald D. SMITH - 966541 - Rear AHQ Unit 1 - RAF & Persia - killed on active service and buried Basra War Cem., Iraq.

Typo... first name of Sgt SMITH (Basra War Cem.) was "Ronald".

Keefe, after shooting down two Bv138s on his first operational trip, had his port engine knocked out and was forced to crash land at his home base. Fortunately, with no injuries.

- ? - Sgt (Nav.) Beecham Isaac Gordon STEED RCAF - Safe
* Keefe (DFC) and Steed, were killed in a crash SW of Launceston, Cornwall, in Beaufighter LZ176, on 28-6-1944.

The Canadian War Museum newspapers collection quotes the Globe & Mail 7 Aug 1943, "Anken, Charles Percy, LAC, died of natural causes in Canada"

Two crew are named on the Form 1180 for EL139, both safe.

There is a Norman Peter Wiseman registered in Scotland's People for 1943 at Fenwick/Ayr, aged 23.

Hurricane P2822 OF 59 OTU , pilot may have been SGT HOPPER .,Who baled out of an aircraft on this date from 59 OTU , due to engine failure , a/c written off , ORB MENTIONS ABOVE but no aircraft type or number .

Sgt Norman P. WISEMAN - 929513 - the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website records that he died at 11.30 p.m. on the Glasgow to Kilmarnock road at Fenwick due to injuries suffered in a road accident.

Frederick Dennis Barton 1473329 , was admitted seriously ill to Number 13 General hospital on 27 July suffering with cereberal confusion. Investigation revealed that he was suffering from encephalitis which proved fatal .

Halden John Cameron Armstrong R 184716 | was proceeding on leave on a 24 Hour pass along highway Number 2 when the car he was travelling in was struck by a car driven by Gwendolyn Gregg at 03:30 Hours at Rouge Hills, Pickering, Ontario. He was admitted to the Ajax hospital at Pickering but died at 05:50 Hours of a fractured skull
