[Air] Cadet Stanley C. Macrae, RAAF, [1 Service Flying Trg School] age 28, 19/05/1940, Victoria Cremation Memorial, Australia. Place of Death: Point Cook. Cause of Death: Accidental

die in a plane crash? if so, what plane was involved?

Demon A1-13 stalled during forced landing approach, apparent engine failure. At Werribee, 1500 hrs. Pilot F/O G. Moreland slightly injured.

Can you confirm 10/05/1940 as date of the crash?

Delivered 29/07/35. Crashed and damaged beyond repair 10/05/40 2 miles south of Werribee VIC. Became Instructional Airframe No.4 10/06/40. - source: <a href='http://www.adf-serials.com/'>ADF Serials</a>.
