What caused the death of:

AC1 Henry N. KINGDOM - 631666 - killed on active service, death registered at Huntingdon, and
LAC (Pilot u/t) Harry E. TAYLOR - 947642 - died of wounds or injuries received on active service, death registered at Hull.

Also looking for unit and possible aircraft serial of following airmen, missing believed killed on active service (all commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial):

P/O Philip S. BENSTED - 84919 - Panel 7
Sgt Joseph GODDARD - 626017 - Panel 14
LAC Ernest RICHARDS - 611580 - Panel 23
P/O Harry STEEL - 82173 - Panel 10, and
P/O Antony O'N. WILLCOX - 74696 - Panel 10.

Proposed aircraft losses:

Blenheim I - K7160 - 5 OTU - crashed Aston Down
Spitfire I - K9981 - 7 OTU - crashed in forced landing at mouth of River Dee near Flint.

This is what I can find in my RAF War Deaths register. Think some of them (or all) can have died in same incident.

Crashed into the sea 50 miles west of Lundy Island.

Hello

AC1 Henry N. KINGDOM - 631666 - the Grave Registration Report Form records him as being with 10 O.T.U.

LAC (Pilot u/t) Harry E. TAYLOR - 947642 - the Grave Registration Report Form records him as being with 4 E.F.T.S. The Hull Daily Mail of September 18th 1940 reported the following:

HULL INQUEST ON AIRCRAFTMAN
The Hull City Coroner, Dr. Norman Jennings, yesterday conducted an inquest on Leading Aircraftman Harry Edward Taylor, aged 18, of Cardiff.
Dr. T. G. Gray said that taylor died from multiple injuries, including fractures of the skull, jaw, wrist, and ankle.
A verdict of "accidental death" was returned.

No clue as to the casue of his injuries, though.

The 4 EFTS orb (who were at Brough, nr Hull, Yorkshire) lists LAC Taylor as being the pilot of Blackburn B2 G-ACER that crashed on 11th September 1940 and sustained what was recorded as being serious injuries. It looks to me like he was admitted to Hull hospital but died the following day.
