What caused the death of and what were the places of death tregistration for:

AC2 Alec A. BURGESS - 1156188 - 600 Sqn (Redhill, Surrey) - died of wounds or injuries received on active service;
Sgt (Pilot u/t) EDGAR, Dermot D.S. - 741642 - killed on active service;
F/O (Pilot) Grosvenor L. EDMONDS - 41565 - 613 Sqn (Firbeck, Yorkshire) - died of wounds or injuries received on active service, and
P/O (Pilot) John W. HIND-SMITH - 84335 - killed on active service.

Proposed aircraft losses for this day:

Harvard I - N7174 - CFS - crashed in forced landing near Grimston, Norfolk;
Magister I - T9746 - 24 EFTS - crashed on approach Hatfield;
Spitfire I - K9967 - 7 OTU - crashed, location not known,
Spitfire I - X4159 - 7 OTU - dived into ground Tatton Hall near Broxton, Cheshire.

Edgar,20,is registered in W Cheshire which is the right office for Broxton, Hind-Smith,27, is registered at Devizes,Wiltshire. The other 2 don't come up so may be in Scotland

Edmunds is registered at Worksop, Notts which is near the Netherthorpe Airfield, Yorks. Possibly in hospital there after being involved in the crash of Lysander P1692 on the 6th

Hind Smith was killed in Harvard N7174 at Casterley Camp, Netheravon.

Edgar was killed in X4159 when the Spitfire crashed due to oxygen failure

It crash-landed at Hawarden (or Hawkinge) - However I also have the date as both 14-9-40 and 13-9-40 from difference sources

As 7 OTU was at Hawarden I would suggest this is the correct location

Frome ( Vallis Road) Cemetery, Somerset.
Killed during an Air Raid on RAF Hornchurch.

GREEN, Donald - Sgt - 645358 - RAF.
Elgin New Cemetery, Moray.
Cause of death, was a pillion rider of a motorcycle in collision with a fuel Bowser.

Cause of death. Found on a beach with bullet wound to the head.

These two airmen rest at Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, Pas-de-Calais, France.

BERGESS, Alec Arthur - He was actually killed in an enemy air raid at Oldchurch Hospital whilst recuperating from injuries sustained during air raid at RAF Hornchurch.

Wappler, Harry Oblt 7/2/1912 8/KG-27 (Rennes) He 111P Werk # 2670 "1G + DS" (lost 9/13/40)

POW 13 September, 1940; hit a barrage balloon and crashed into a house in Newport, pilot bailed safely. Remaining crew (KIA & bur Cannock Chase, Block 7): Nav Uffz Fritz Berndt (Grave 295); R/O Ofw Johannes Elster (Grave 294) and Gnr Uffz Herbert Okuneck (Grave 296). Added: Wappler and Lt Heinz Schnabel escaped from Shap Wells POW Camp (Cumberland) in a stolen Miles Magister in November, 1941. However, running low on fuel, they returned to Norfolk and were re-captured and transferred to a POW Camp in Canada (D.Drury).
