Looking for correct serial of a loss of a 88 Sqn Battle that crashed at Blackmore, near High Ongar, Essex.

Flight has "Cpl. William Henry Wheeler lost his life in an accident which occurred at Blackmore, near High Ongar, on August 7, to an aircraft of No. 88 (B.) Sqn., Boscombe Down, Amesbury, Wilts. Fit. Lt. David William Hyde Gardner was the pilot of the aircraft, and A/C. William Cable the other member of the crew. Ft. Lt. Gardner was slightly injured

Local newspaper says Cable's name was Thomas Cable (as does Irvin Caterpillar List). I suspect his name was William Thomas Cable but he was known as 'Thomas'
