What caused the death of and/or what were the places of death registration for:

AC2 William H. MOON - 1012215 - 23 Sqn (Ford, Sussex) - died of wounds or injuries received on active service, and
AC1 William PANDER - 965017 - 23 Sqn - not found Flight archives.

Ford aerodrome was attacked by the Luftwaffe that day 19.40h.

Proposed aircraft loss for this day:
Hart Trainer - K6466 - 9 FTS - flew into high ground 1 mile NW of Monkton Fairley, near Bath

Checking CWGC-registers with 'unaccounted list' found another airmen sofar not listed in my files. Looking for cause of death and place of death registration:

3-10-1940 - AC2 Alfred ARMSTRONG - 997488 - age 27.

Regarding Armstrong he is listed in the RAF Overseas War Deaths 1939-1947. His unit being 11 OTU ! Flight 7-11-1940 list him as Died on Active Service !

I'm wondering if he died during the Blitz. I was also wonder if his body was missing, although he was later buried in Middlesborough Cemetery ! The reason for him being on the Overseas list !

AC2 Alfred ARMSTRONG - 997488 - the Evening Despatch of October 9th 1940 reported the following:

DROWNED R.A.F. MAN MYSTERY
A verdict of death by drowning was recorded today at an adjourned Westminster inquest on Alfred Amrstrong, aged 27, R.A.F. mechanic, whose body had been recovered from the Thames near the Houses of Parliament. He had been absent without leave for five days.
A Thames policeman said that Amrstrong's cap and respirator had not been found. His home was at Miiddlesbrough.

A verdict that Pilot Officer Keith Ian Macdonald, 20. committed suicide,
was returned by the Melbourne City
Coroner (Mr. Tingate). Mrs. Macdonald -was killed in a motor smash
on the Hume Highway when the couple were returning from a honey
moon. A few days later Macdonald
was found dead in his flat at South
Yarra with a gun beside him.

AUSTRALIA.

MULLER, Rodney Elmore - LAC - 400006 - RAAF.

400006 LAC (Trainee Pilot) Rodney Elmore MULLER RAAF (of the Intermediate Training Squadron, No.1 S.F.T.S., Point Cook, Victoria), was killed on 3 October, 1940, when Hawker Demon A1-47, struck high-tension wires, crashed and burnt out at 2055, half-a-mile north of No.1 Relief Landing Ground, Werribee, Victoria. LAC Muller was engaged on a solo night flying exercise.
