What caused the death of and/or what was the place of death registration for:
Sub.Lt Woodrow G. ADAMS - HMS Ark Royal 810 Sqn - died of wounds sustained in an air crash - commemorated on Panel 1 of the Liverpool (Anfield) Crematorium.
It's known that Naval Air Station Ford was attacked by the Luftwaffe 5/6th Oct but no damage reported.
His name is in the FAAA publication, however only with the date 8-5-1940 where he and his crew survived an accident unhurt on Swordfish L2733.
Regards and thanks for your help.
Henk.
