On the old RAF Commands Forum Henk Welting asked about this man:
Aircraftman 2nd Class Robert F.J. Bowie, RAFVR 909589, unit unknown, age 19, 12/05/1940, Northwood Cemetery, UK. Bowie's death was registered at Uxbridge and he was killed on active service.
Leendert remarked on the TOCH-Forum that RAF Coastal Command had its HQ at Northwood at that time and that the town of Uxbridge is adjacent.
Could therefore be said that AC2 RFJ Brown 'possibly belonged to RAF CC HQ'? Or knows anyone the exact name of his unit?
Regards,
Bart
