There is no biography that I am aware of but the RAF Museum does hold his personal papers. It is about time someone wrote a biography of Peirse.

I could not agree more, I think he was rather harshly treated in 1942, other commanders did a lot worse but yet survived. !

Thats true but he didn't help himself with his improprieties in 1944.
