Hello, I 'm looking for informations about a free french pilot serving in 4 IAF Sqn whose name is Flt Sgt Debosschere missing in action Thursday 27 july 1944 in Burma.

Posting this from work. I answered a similar question sometime back on some other site i dont remember .
The information from 4 Sqn ORB states that essentially his crash site was known, but he was never found and is missing in action.
I will post the verbatim transcript after i go home tonight..

Debosschere joined the squadron on 22 Apr 44 .

Thank you very much Jagan and Col Bruggy, do you know where I can find the first name and the date and place of birth of F/Sgt Debosschere ? it's very unusual to find a French serving in the India-Burma theater !

I found today that Felix Marie Joseph de Bosschere was probably not French but British from a Belgian (?) familily born at Malvern Wells in the Worcestershire aged of 21. His name is on the Singapore Memorial

Felix De Bosscher was a British volunteer, born in London on April, 2nd 1923 from Belgian father Hubert De Bosscher and English mother Mary Tierney.
Remembered with Honour - Singapore Memorial - Column 434.
1390738, 4 (R.I.A.F.) Sqdn, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died on 30 July 1944 Age 21
Son of Hubert Marie Joseph de Bosschere, and of Mary Teresa de Bosschere (nee Tierney), of Malvern
Wells, Worcestershire.
His funeral card (in Flemish) can be seen on delcampe[DOT]net...
