I found this incident (which is not in my 30 Sqn ORB) in Flight Global after reference to it in

AIR 10-1581 Report on Flying accidents during Jan-June 1935 posted on this site

STRANGE ACCIDENT AT MOSUL
The Air Ministry regrets to announce that as the result of an accident which occurred at Mosul (Iraq) Musketry Range on May 10, 1935, involving a " Wapiti " aircraft of No. 30 (Bomber) Squadron, and two armoured cars of No. 1 Armoured Car Company, Mosul, Iraq, Fit. Lt. Henry Spear Sandiford, the pilot of the aircraft, and A/C1 John Gilbert Plevey, of No. 1 Armoured Car Company, lost
their lives. L.A/C. Jack Woledge Rogers, the passenger of the aircraft, was severely injured and LA/C. Harold Gilbert Keattch, at No. 1 Armoured Car Company received slight injuries.
Other reports state that the " Wapiti " -was flying at a low altitude at the Mosul musketry range, and struck one armoured car with a wing tip. The aeroplane was hurled round and then collided with a second armoured car

AIR 10-1581 also says Wapiti and that Pilot who had 175 hours on type and 2356 hours total "Practising diving too low: hit armoured car"

Can anyone ID the aircraft involved?

Many Thanks

Paul
