It is mentioned here

http://www.int-birdstrike.org/Athens_Papers/IBSC27%20WPI-2.pdf

I suspect it happened between Sept 12 and Nov 27 1934 but definitely between July and Dec 1934

I suspect Middle East or India

Thank

Paul

Hi Paul

Now I know we're pretty good on here, but asking for the identity of the bird???... That's a tough one!!!

; )

... (Mind you someone will probably come up with that too!)

I suspect a if India it was either a Vulture Pseudogyps bengalensis or Long-billed Griffon Gyps indicus

If Middle East the Egyptian Vulture Neophron percnopterus

May also be a Buzzard or Hawk Kite

Hi all, I do not want to offend anyone but this Paul's "ornithology corner" makes me smile:-)
On the other hand it is a nice example how detailed research our members are doing and how wide range of knowledge is necessary.
