Good evening gents!
Re: the two 98 Sqn Mitchells downed on 25th September 1944, page 304 of 2nd TAF by Christopher Shores says that "…([Maj Wolfgang] Spate's gun camera film of this attack is currently held in the archives of the Imperial War Museum in London)." The curator of IWM's film archive is asking me for the film's reference number to help him identify the footage. Is this a route anyone's been down before? Short of writing to the authors (in the worst case, via the publisher), i'm a bit blinkered here. What am i missing? I'd like to buy you a pint if you're local to London, or else i can look up something in person at Kew for you, (as long as it's free!).
