Can anyone Identify Sgt A A Forbes Pilot 54 Sqn Hornchuch 1930 to around 1933

He was on C Flight then A Flight

Paul, Hi,
Going back to 1904 there are a couple of maybe possible longshots.
There is an Alexander Angus FORBES B reg Q2 1906 Tynemouth 10b 268, and an Alfred Andrew FORBES B reg Q1 1905 Mile End 1c 443.
The Mile End Reg Dist became Stepney in 1925. Stepney is only 10 miles from Hornchurch.

I have been trying to track the career of Sgt A A Forbes for a few years now (to try and ID hime) one of my pre-war bale-outs that lacks for ID. The issue is that as NCO not in many ORBS, AFL etc

However, what I do know

September 3, 1929 Armstrong Whitworth Atlas TM J9457 at Grantham, Lincs. "Pilot Officer L. R. S. Freestone and Sergt A. A. Forbes of the British Royal Air Force, saved their lives on 3rd September 1929, when their machine got into an uncontrollable spin and they jumped at 3,000 feet with their Irvin Air Chutes, landing absolutely unhurt."

Pilot Officer L. R. S. Freestone is P/O Lionel Richard Stanford Freestone #05157 then Commissioned 17 Jun 1929 ex #335297 he was OBE in 1942 as Acting Group Captain and ended up Air Commodore

I believe that this Sgt AA Forbes was posted from
23 Sqn 31.8.26 from 5 FTS (at Henlow)

He then turns up at 3 FTS probably as Instructor (which is where he baled) out

I now know he then turns up at 54 Sqn from formation in Jan 1930 till 1932

At one point he may have been transferred to Class F Reserve BUT I can't find my reference now

I think he was Warrant Officer 1 July 1942 and he is #350633 in range # 340001 to 360000 Sep 1919 Civilians (completed 16.6.25)

I can't get either of the 'A A Forbes' to come up in AIR 78 - but I'm no expert. Similarly 350633 doesn't produce anything sensible in the LG - ditto. Some form of typo?
