Hi all,

Just a line to let you know that my first book has just been published -- Crash à Bayeux : la dernière mission du Sergeant Ferguson -- only in French, for the moment. According to the publisher, the English version is not coming out before next September.

This is the biography of Pilot Officer William Kennedy Ferguson J/85171, RCAF, who was shot down and killed near Bayeux, Normandy in January, 1943. See http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Ferguson&GSfn=William&GSmn=Kennedy&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GSob=n&GRid=51049659&df=all&.

I am sending the English text to the publisher this week.

I wish to express my gratitude to all the members of the forum who helped me with my research -- Stephen Fochuk, David Fuller, Hugh Halliday, Phill Jones and others: thank you.

Hi all,

Just a line to let you know I have just returned from a 10-day stay in Ontario where I met the families of some of the pilots mentioned in the book, including Sergeant Ferguson's last living sister -- everyone of them was presented with a pre-series copy of the English edition. Pictures here: http://fr-fr.facebook.com/pages/Crash-in-Bayeux-The-Last-Flight-of-Sergeant-Ferguson/261275987374923

Some more copies of the English version are to be printed within the next few weeks -- will keep you posted.

All the best,

Fox.
