During my recent trip to India, where my book on the Wapiti was released, sharing the stage was another author who compiled this history. This book was also done under the aegis of the USI of India (equivalent to the RUSI)

Spitfires in the Sun : A History of the Supermarine Spitfire in Indian Air Force Service 1944-1957 by Vikram Singh
The Author is a serving IAF Officer and had made excellent use of his access to official records to provide a complete history of the Aircraft in IAF service. I have a copy of it and it has 100s of photographs, colour profiles and stories. I also note that there is an extensive survivors section which was possible only with the help of Peter Arnold and his archive of photos.
