Hello there,

I'm new on this forum. I recently started studying the Raid on Mulheim. I got interested in this subject when I found out that one of the bombers crashed not far from where I life. I have found some information about the raid, but some information I cannot find. I'm looking for the routes the bombers flew, the kind of bombs they carried... that kind of information. I'm also looking for more information about the Mosquitoes that were used.

Can anyone tell me if there are any publications were I can find more information?

Kind regards,

Jeroen

I am not sure if you have seen the Night Raid Report which shows the route(s) that were utilised that night, along with a summary of the raid.

A copy is available on: http://www.lancasterbombers.net/flipbook/NRR_17-23_June_43/files/book.swf

It may not give you all the answers, but it is a possible start point for you. I should be able to get information on some of the bomb loads from the Bomber Command Loss Cards if that is any help.

Regards

Pete

Alan Cooper's 'Battle of the Ruhr' book should have something on this raid and possibly Al Phillips' 'Valley of the Shadow of Death'. I'll check and confirm.
