SHORE, Leslie Albert - the Statutory Deaths Notice on Scotland's People states that he died at Law Junction Hospital, Carluke, of Myeloid Leukaemia and Terminal Pneumonia. His profession is listed as "Painter and Decorator (Corporal - Royal Air Force)"

Hi Simon

From what you mentioned I thought he may have been part of the ACS but there doesn't seem to a trade of Painter and Decorator in the RAF so perhaps he'd been invalided out earlier.

Derek Vivian Shepherd 611683 , a fitter airframe grade 2, became seriously ill with pulmonary tuberculosis in India on 22nd March 1943. Evacuated to South Africa to Joburg military hospital on 22nd December 1943, he was repatriated to the UK on 12th September 1944, where he died in RAF Hospital West Kirby

Ethel Blanche Teresa Brackstone 422825 , a telephonist attached to RAF Ibsley, was killed in a road accident between an army lorry and a US Army lorry near St. Ives near Ringwood , Hampshire
