The two aircraft must have come down in separate registration districts which are close together

The two aircraft, PG472 & PZ848 came down about 1 mile apart, and yes they are on opposite side of district boundaries. PG472 came down on Whimberry Hill in Turton, which was transferred to Horwich in 1935 and PZ848 is in Smithills. See http://laituk.org/Hurricane%20PG472.htm and http://laituk.org/Hurricane%20PZ848.htm
