I can find no evidence that Banks - Harris - Jordan - Molloy were serving with the ATA also the record of Anson W2637 shows that it served with 1 PRU/544/1 OAFU.
If someone has any evidence of a connection with the ATA I would like to hear from them.

The No.1 (O)AFU ORB wasn't of much use, February 8th 1945, SSQ, “An Anson aircraft did not return from its detail. There was no standby since and it was presumed lost at sea.”

Hello Chris,
My typo re ATA.
Had the Argus HM188 ATA and probably due to the late hour used ATA again instead of 1 OAFU for Anson W2637. I had not noticed the error, so thanks for the correction.

Was asked to move this thread from 1945 Unaccounted for some reason could not...

So here it is

302 s&tc
Hello,
Seeking details of 302 S&TC.
Looked in "FT&SU since 1912" but could not find it.
If in it page number please.
Otherwise anything known of this Unit is welcome.
Thanks
Alex

Alex

I'm guessing S & TC is Supply and Transport Column. Like you, I can't seem to find them in the AB book.

The NA wesbite has details for some, for example 309 S & TC, but seemingly not 302:

Hello Simon,
Many thanks for your reply and link to the NA.
My reason for asking is that there is an airman, LAC. Thomas LYNCH, at rest in Sittard War Cemetery, one of only three airmen.
He is in the 1945 Unaccounted Airmen thread for the 8th February, the other two are from a Mosquito their date is 2nd February.
I did wonder if Lynch was the senior airman's batman and perhaps he survived for a few days ?

This was due to a search I am into re three unknowns , see the thread in the TOCH forum.
Thanks again
Alex
