There were three entries in the 12 AGS ORB which confirm the names for MS517.

February 18th 1945, “1318217 W/O Kent, R.H. Pilot and 2061918 LACW Ellwell Fitter IIA are reported as missing when Martinet V.5 failed to return from test flight.”

February 18th 1945, “Martinet V.5 failed to return from test flight.”

February 18th 1945, “While on a local air test this afternoon a Martinet aircraft from Target Towing Flight (E) disappeared and neither of the two occupants, W/O Kent of LACW Elwell WAAF, have been seen since. As portion of the tail of the aircraft was washed up on the beach near here both occupants have been declared missing – presumed killed. Form 2752 was raised for this accident.”
