I have just had reason to review my info on P/O Eric John Pentland who was first RAF Parachute when he baled out of Avro H5144? on June 17, 1926

According to
Friday 18 June 1926 , Lincolnshire Echo he was "Pilot Officer Pentland, 22"

So born around 1903/1904 which throws up on Freebmd

not PENTLAND Eric John

Anyway London gazette has
The undermentioned are granted short
service commissions as Pilot Officers on probation
with effect from and With seniority of
13th Mar. 1926: —
Eric John PENTLAND and when he resigned his commission

Google has Eric John PENTLAND

However,....

I find a death for PENTLAND Eric J 57 Willesden 5f 220 Qtr 3 1961 and he is on England & Wales, National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations), 1858-1966 for same year as

The age is interesting as it will be matching for a birth in 1903 (i.e same as Eric 'Joseph' Pentland)

Can anyone look up his Ancestry records to see if National Probate Calendar has a date and location of birth?
