ANDERTON, Harold - P/O (Nav-Radio Op ) - probably killed whilst flying in Mosquito XII, HK125 of No 155 MU, which crashed near Setif whilst carrying out low level aerobatics.
HAWKEY, George Henry - P/O (Pilot) - see Anderton.

detached to 1331 Conversion Unit Risalpur, for conversion to Spitfire and Vengeance aircraft. Died of Enteric Fever on Feb 26 at the Nowshera Hospital .

Colin Widdicombe 1320568 , attached to Number 8 FU , taken seriously ill on 13 February , died in Mauripur hospital of fever and lobar pneumonia

Matthew Bent 1409798 , attached to Number 54 PTC , died in Number 54 General hospital at 19:45 Hours after being seriously ill with duodenal ulcers for 4 months

George William Croot 1482002 , attached to Number 124 Wing, was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident , dying of his injuries in Number 50 MFH

Herman Constantine Bryan 605722 ,a medically discharged Airman at the time of his death, died at 4 Clifton Vale , Bristol, of chronic endocarditis .

Bryan is , I believe , the last Carribean Airman to be accounted for. Another milestone on this forum and for RAF research if so. If anyone knows of any unaccounted Carribean Airmen, I'd like to know

Frank Geoffrey Turner 542960 , attached to Number 317 S&TC , was admitted seriously ill to Number 74 British general hospital on 1 October. He rallied but became dangerously ill on 24 November dying of typhoid fever and appendicitis

Alfred King 962827 attached to Number 6140 SE, was injured in an accident on B58 Airfield on 20 February , dying of his injuries in Number 8 RAF General hospital.

Despite much effort , I have been unable to ascertain the nature of the accident and an overseas GRO death certificate purchase would now seem to be the only possible to obtain further details,

Harold Challis 1223527 , was admitted seriously ill to Number 35 British General hospital in Colombo on 22 February where he died of pulmonary tuberculosis

Alfred King 962827 | was injured in an accident on B58 Airfield on 20 February when an oil tank exploded as he was welding it, dying of his injuries in Number 8 RAF general hospital in Brussels

This information was obtained via the purchase of a GRO overseas death certificate by myself as there were no details of the accident in any other source
