Kenneth Gray 131840, an assistant intelligence officer at RAF Ford, was seen to be lying on the ground outside the new wing of the officers mess at Portington Hall following a VE night party which had continued into the early hours. He died of severe brain concussion and a fractured neck and it was believed he had accidentally fallen from his bedroom window

Ferdinand David Byfield 713273, , attached to RAF Chivenor, was admitted dangerously ill to the Royal Naval hospital, Plymouth on 8 March, then transferred to RAF Hospital, Locking where he died of miliary tuberculosis

George Edward Draper 1468466 , attached to the ORTU, was admitted dangerously ill to Haymeads EMS hospital, Bishops Stortford on 8 March, suffering with pneumonia and pleurisy. He died of Tuberculosis with Pleural Effusion with his Father, Mr.G.H. Draper of Thoresby Road, Mansfield, at his bedside
