The block of UK deaths result from a mid air collision at night between the Wellington and Halifax quoted. This was at Werrington near Peterborough, although some records offer alternative locations.

Marshall was a doctor killed in Harvard FE789 in Ceylon and hence was not a POW

63386 S/L Robert William Stanley MARSHALL RAFVR. (909[Tactical] Wing), M.B., B.CH., B.A.O.(Hons.), Queen's University, Belfast. - Missing

Both commemorated on the Singapore Memorial.

Thomas Arthur Edward Tobias 969490 , medically discharged from the RAF on 10th December 1943, died at the Rothbury Nursing home, Newport, Monmouthshire of toxameia and septacemia due to pyelo nephrosis due to renal calculi sustained as the result of a flying accident Whilst serving with the HGCU at 21:20 hours on 31st August 1942 at Black Bourton, Oxfordshire . He was piloting Horsa Mk1 DP755 towed by Whitley BD438 when the tug hit trees on take off and cast off the glider which then hit more trees. He was admitted to SSQ at RAF Brize Norton seriously injured

John Keighley 3040053 , attached to Number 13 AGS at RAF Ballah , was admitted seriously ill to Number 1 General hospital on 31 May with a history of headaches and shivering. He developed neck stiffness and poor chest expansion on 2 June and rapidly deteriorated, being placed in the iron lung at 13:00 Hours , cyanotic at 21:45 Hours, he died at 00:45 Hours of acute bulbar poliomyelitis
