Cpl. POWELL, of No.6201 Bomb Disposal Flight, was killed on 5-7-1945 at Eudenbach, Germany, when munitions being stacked, exploded.

GILMOUR, Kenneth McL - LAC - not Eng/Wales?.
SPARK, Basil Douglas - F/L (Pilot ) - killed whilst flying in Halifax VI, RG651 of No 78 Sqn, which landed too far up the runway at Holme on Spalding Moor, ran off the end and into a ditch having swung to avoid some workmen but the undercarriage collapsed.

GILMOUR, Kenneth McLeod - Scotland's People Register of Deaths states that he died at Dr. Gray's Hospital, Elgin at 00.30 a.m, due to a severe laceration of the brain, the result of a fractured skull which he had suffered in a road accident.

This afternoon 12 aircraft did formation flying as a practice for the fly past at Brussles (sic). Two
air tests were also carried out. Five new pilots joined the Squadron today, namely, F/Lt.
R.D.Taylor, F/O. W.Recile, W/O. F.Aspinall, Sgt. J.D.Mercer and Sgt. G.W.Smith.
A tragic accident occurred in the evening when F/O. J.A.Smith was fatally injured in an M.T.
accident. "Smithy's" death was a sad blow to the Squadron.

8th
The aircraft returned safely to base today. F/O.Smith's funeral took place today at the
military cemetery at Celle.

Leonard Albert Norman 1236623 , died of acute enchapalitis in Number 2 RAF General hospital having been admitted seriously ill on 1 July
