Hello,

AUSTRALIA - 105902 Cpl Gwynena DAVIS WAAAF.

105902 Cpl Gwynena BOYLE enlisted in the WAAAF on 22-8-1942. After discharge from the WAAAF on 21-6-1944, she married 67596 Cpl Peter Maxwell DAVIS RAAF on 25-11-1944. Ex-WAAAF Davis, died of Illness (Tuberculosis), on 11-7-1945.

BURNS, Walter Arthur - the National Probate Calendar entry reports that he died at the Memorial Sanatorium, Hertford Hill, Hatton, Warwickshire. This was the King Edward VI Memorial Hospital, used for the treatment of TB, and is now residential.

attached to RAF Korangi Creek, were killed when a building collapsed in New Delhi, Hughes dying in Number 9 RAF General hospital.

Harold Allan Brown J 10828 was shot down over France on 20 June 1943 in Halifax JD107, and severely injured. Medically repatriated from Stalag Luft 3 on The Gripsholm via Sweden on 19 september 1943 and thence home to Canada suffering from a shortening of his right leg. He died in the Shaughennesy military hospital , Vancouver of a bilateral pulmonary oedema following surgery to correct the damage to his right hip

Thomas William McLeary 1451764 , attached to 61 MU , was one of a party of Airmen who had been given £5 by a member if the public after they had won a football match. After spending the money on drink in the Railway Inn in Cheadle , they proceeded to Cheadle Green and McLeary climbed onto the 18 feet high fountain at the corner of High Street, Stockport Road and Manchester Road and fell when part of the fountain stonework gave way and he fell, striking his body on the trough, and dying of head Injuries
