MERREDITH, John - Cpl - he was killed in a road traffic accident near Colesborne. The Gloucestershire Echo of August 17th reported on the inquest. The accident involved the collision of a U.S. Army truck and a British Army truck. L.A.C. Meredith (note rank and surname) was being given a lift in the British vehicle.

SWEENEY, Thomas Frederick - the Gloucestershire Echo again of August 8th 1945 reports that Cpl Sweeney and his wife were found dead in their Northampton home.

BRUCE, David Alexander Fraser - the Scotland's People website Statutory Deaths register states that he died at 10.00pm at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh of Pulmonary TB and Meningitis. His occupation is given as 'Grocer'.
