Hello,
424252 P/O Geoffrey Paul WITTS RAAF (a.k.a Paul WITTS, ex- WAG, No.459 Sqn RAAF. ME), was injured in a motor accident on the New River Road, Emu Plains, NSW. Whilst riding on the running board of a vehicle, his head struck a telegraph post. He suffered a fractured skull and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Nepean Hospital. Paul Witt's older brother, AUS403769 LAC John WITTS RAAF, lost his life when No.1 AOS RCAF, Anson 6831 (ex-AW478), went missing on 8 January, 1942.

OBITUARIES FLIGHT SERGT. W. S. GRANT.
The funeral took place, with military honours, in Cullompton cemetery, on Wednesday, August 29th. of Flight Sergt. Walter Stewart Grant. R.A.F., only son of Mrs. and the late Mr. James Malcolm Grant, of The Leas, Cullompton. the news of whose death, in hospital, was received with sincere regret. Deceased, who was aged 30 years, had served years in the R.A.F.. having gone at the age of years as an apprentice at Halton R.A.F. •School. He saw a good deal of service abroad, chiefly in the Mediterranean, and was also on H.M.S. Glorious.
He had been under treatment in hospital since the end of last year.
Flight Sergt. W. Grant, died August 25th. 1945, aged 30 years." The floral tributes included a wreath from the O.C. and other ranks R.A.F. Station, Pilstock.

Walter Stewart Grant 564185 , attached to 1380 HCU, was admitted dangerously ill to the Royal Devon & Exeter hospital on 24 August, where he died of jaundice
