Hello
Robert Duncan Mitchell was my uncle. He died on 1st January 1946 of TB. He married Barbara Minica Woodward shortley before he died. He is buried in Yardley Cemetery in Birmingham with a CWGC headstone. His wife who was a nurse in the hospital where he was a patient died a short time later also of TB. They had one child, Penelope Mitchell who is still alive. I have additional details of his personal and RAF service along with a number of photographs. I was born in 1949 and joined the RAF as an Aeronautical Engineering Apprentice at RAF Halton in 1965.
If I can be of any further help please ask.
Regards
Duncan Mitchell
