W/O Charles EAST was killed when he fell from a truck returning from a swimming trip; W/O de BOER was injured.

BUSH, KENNETH John - LAC - 1811074 - the Lancashire Evening Post of Janaury 18th 1946 reported:

KIRKHAM CAMP FATALITY
While working at the R.A.F. camp at Kirkham, yesterday, L.A.C. Kenneth John Bush, aged 22, a married man of 65, Victoria Road, Colchester, received injuries from which he died almost immediately. He was re-positioning a belt on a revolving shaft when he was caught by the belt and whirled round the shaft.

Patrick Phillip Troughton-Smith 37917 , attached to Number 103 PDC, shot himself in the head with a revolver on Addington Hills, Croydon, being discovered by the local postman on his morning round. He had been in the RAF for ten years and had experienced difficulties following operational flying and was worried about the forthcoming transition to civilian life

Ellen Louisa Westcott 2066583, attached to Number 1382 (T) CU , died in the North Devon Infirmary, Barnstaple, of septacemia and a subphrenic abscess secondary to a perforated appendix.

Ellen's death certificate was sponsored by Erik Brun of the USA in her memory
