PARSONS, Basil Thomas - W/O - 357411 - an announcement in the Grantham Journal, January 25th 1946 records:

PARSONS, on Jan. 21st, 1946, Basil Parsons (Warrant Officer, R.A.F.), of Fulbeck, beloved husband of Bridget and darling daddy of Kenwyn, passed away suddenly at Rauceby R.A.F. Hospital.

Hello there,

I'm not sure the purpose of this post but it's the first thing that came up on google. I've been going through a load of old photos of my Grandfather's and have photographs of the Egypt three, their graves and their funeral. My Grandfather should have been on that plane (navigator) but had a great hand of cards and asked them to wait, but they left without him. If you want me to share anything I have, then just ask.

UPGRADE to Basil Thomas Parsons 357411, whilst on duty at no 1 radio school, Cranwell as IC air crew sub school, he collapsed from a cereberal heamorhage and died RAF Hospital Rauceby

Caroline Eileen Millard 484689 , an ACH/GD attached to 216 MU , was seriously injured on 18 January when she fell from a vehicle in Sutton Coldfield. Admitted to Birmingham general hospital, she died at 19:15 hours with her mother , Mrs G Algar of Blundell Street, London W7 at her bedside

Michael Alister Gower 3000122 ,attached to Number 1 Parachute Training School, was admitted seriously ill to RAF Hospital Wilmslow on 21 January, where he died at 17:20 Hours of pyrexia
