133555 LAC (Fitter DMT) Jack Ernest BUTCHER RAAF (of No.47 Radar Station, Kalamundra, Perth, W.A.), died on 22 January, 1946, in the Lady Davidson Home, Turramurra, N.S.W., from the effects of Pulmonary Tuberculosis.


36125 LAC John Benson McKINNON RAAF.

36125 LAC (Cook) John Benson McKINNON RAAF (of No.6 Stores Depot, Dubbo), was accidentally drowned in the Macquarie River near Dubbo, New South Wales, on 22 January, 1946. The Coroner found that the deceased died from asphyxiation from drowning, but how, or by what means, he came to be drowned, the evidence adduced did not enable him to say.

136382 LAC Francis Leslie NICHOLAS RAAF, formerly of the Radio Development & Installation Unit, Melbourne, was officially discharged from the RAAF on 30 October, 1945. He passed away at his residence at Richmond Road, Blacktown, N.S.W., from an unspecified illness, on 22 January, 1946.

Sub-Lieut (A) SANDERSON's navigator (who was rescued), was Sub-Lieut (A) F. R. BINKS FAA.

EDINGTON was serving at Castel Benito. He died in 89 General Hospital, Tripoli, from injuries received in a motor transport accident (from death certificate).

William Malcolm Edington 1365312 , attached to RAF Castle Benito, was run over by a vehicle on 22 January causing multiple injuries. Admitted dangerously ill to Number 89 General hospital at 09:50 hours, a listers splint had been applied under chloroform at the roadside and morphine given. Admitted unconcious with a compound fracture of middle and third left numerous and middle third left femur and with pulse and blood pressure barely detectable, he was started on a plasma drip but died at 13:00 hours still unconscious

Alexander Grime 1481006 , attached to 2794 Squadron RAF Refgiment, became seriously ill on 20 June 1945 and was admitted to RAF Hospital, Wilmslow. Transferred to Townleys Hospital, Bolton, on 28 September, he died there of cancer

Frank Ernest Cochrane 927402 | attached to 13 MU | was admitted seriously ill with an intestinal obstruction to RAF hospital Halton on 28 August 1945. He was taken off the list on 10 September but became dangerously ill with carcinoma of the colon on 22 January 1946, dying at 07:40 Hours with his Sister, Mrs. Wright of Southgate Street, Potters Bar, at his bedside
