CLARK, Eric George - W/O - 1684914 - the Essex Newsman of February 22nd reported the following:

YOUNG AIRMAN'S SAD DEATH
When returning to his airfield at Rivenhall on Janaury 2, Warrant Officer Eric George Clark, R.A.F., was accidentally knocked down by a car on the runway. He sustained a fractured skull and leg, but appeared to be making good progress until Wednesday, when he suddeny expired. Eric Clark, who was in his early twenties, was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Clark, of 80 Writtle Road. His father was a well-known Chelmsford postal official, and Eric also was in the Civil Service. He did his air training in Canada.

Further to my earlier entry on 102534 ACW June Patricia BARRETT WAAAF. ACW Barrett was admitted to 2 Australian Women's Hospital on 9 January, 1946, and died at 1535 on 20 February, 1946, from the effects of a Cerebral Tumour.
