Derrick Keith Tasman Ottley 1271496 , was a member of a training crew flying to India staging through Castel Benito. He was seen by members of his crew in the Airfield transit hotel ante room at 23:10 hours but failed to turn up in the morning. A search was instigated but no trace was found of him and this was extended to the road and RAF stations East and West of Castel Benito.
