DUGUID, Douglas Robertson - Cpl - 615882 - the Dundee Evening Telegraph of March 16th 1946 reported the following:

BODY IN BURN WAS SEEN FROM TRAIN
The guard of an Edinburgh to Dundee goods train yesterday saw from his van, at a point between Ladybank and Springfield, a man in R.A.F. uniform lying in Ballo Burn.
The discovery was reported to the police at Cupar, whose investigations revealed that the body was that of Corporal Douglas Duiguid, 45 Carnegie Palce, Dundee.
Duguid, who was a prisoner for about three years in Jap hands, had been on his way home fromScarborough. As far as can be ascertained he had fallen from a door of his compartment on an earlier passenger train and rolled down the rialway embankment into the water.

McALONAN, Samuel - AC2c - 2259398 - the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website states that he died at 11.30 a.m. on the L.N.E.R. line 1 mile south of Lossiemouth Railway Station.

Ronald George Pratley 1891987 , attached to HQACSEA, was taken ill with suspected malaria and mental confusion at RAF Kandy on 11 March and was admitted seriously ill to Number 48 Indian General hospital on 11 March. He became dangerously ill on 12 March and died of septacemia

Lewis Raymond Croft 2294345 | Attached to Number 2 Recruits Centre | was admitted to SSQ at at RAF Cardington on 14 March where he died of a supra-renal haemorrhage
