BREWS, John Beveridge - LAC - 1065698 - the Fife Free Press & Kirkcaldy Guardian of April 6th 1946 reported the following:

PASSING OF EX-SERVICEMAN
The death occurred in a military hospital near Edinburgh of Mr John Brews, who resided at Church Street, West Wemyss. Deceased, who was 43 years of age, and well-known in the village, served as a cook in the R.A.F. during the second world war.

His entry on the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website records that he died at 9.20 a.m. at Edenhall Hospital, the result of Pulmonary TB.
