ARCHER, Kenneth Roland - F/O - 184570 - the Lancashire Evening Post of April 3rd 1946 has the following short report in the Stop Press section:

FATAL APRIL FOLLY
Lieut. Kenneth Archer, of British Mission in Rumania, reported killed in Bucharest as result of April Fool's Day joke. One of party in "borrowed" car Archer was shot through the heart by sentry.

McCONNELL, James - LAC - 1552044 - doesn't seem to be on the RAF Deaths Overseas list, but his entry on the CWGC website has him with 2896 Sqn, R.A.F. Regiment.
