IRAQ
GODDARD, Victor Frederick - F/Lt(Pilot) - 124504 - the Eastbourne Gazette of June 5th 1946 reported the following:

Death of F/Lieut. V. F. Goddard
After taking part in nearly 50 operational flights over enemy territory during the war with Germany and being awarded the D.F.C., Flight-Lieutenant Victor Frederick Goddard, R.A.F.V.R., has lost his life as the result of an aircraft accident in the Middle East, while ferrying an aircraft to India. He was due for demobilisation in a few weeks. He was 25 years of age and unmarried.

STALLARD, Eamon - W/O(Nav(/WoP) - 1393726 - the National Probate Calendar confirms he died at Habbinya, Iraq.

ROBERTS, George William - Lt(A) - HMS Vulture - the Western Morning News of June 1st 1946 reported the following:

FLEET AIR ARM ACE KILLED
A young Fleet Air Arm pilot flying a naval plance fromLondon to St. Merryn on Thursday afternoon wa killed instantly when he crashed in thick fog at Trenance Downs, St. Austell. His machine exploded as it struck a hedge, and his body was found 400 yards form the wreckage.
At the inquest at the Royal Naval Air Station at St. Merryn yesterday the District Coroner (Mr. E. W. Gill) recorded a verdict of "Accidental Death" on the pilot, Lieut. George William Roberts, aged 25. Lieut. Roberts was one of the Fleet Air Arm aces during the war and had recently been appointed assistant chief gunner instructor at the Royal Naval School of Air Warfare, St. Merryn.
