GODDARD, William Edward - W/O - 577 - the CWGV entry states that he served under the name Pickett, and FreeBMD has William E. Pickett, aged 56, registered Aldershot, September 1946.

INDIA
AVERY, George - AC2c - 2269956 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at the British Military Hospital, Colaba, Bombay.

With regards to Dakota IV - KJ918 of 48 Sqdn, the Yorkshire Post of July 11th 1946 reported the following:

18 MISSING ON BURMA FLIGHT
Silence Since June 29
The Air Ministry announced last night that a Dakota of Air Command South East Asia had been missing since June 29 on a flight from Butterworth (Malaya) to Rangoon.

George Avery 2269956, attached to 48 Squadron, died in the British Military hospital, Colaba, of a cereberal tumour
