JOHNSON, George Henry - Cpl - 2238328 - the Tamworth Herald of july 27th 1946 reported the following:

Drowned in River Wye
The funeral took place at Wood End on Friday, July 19, of Corporal George Henry Percy Johnson, R.A.F., who was drowned in a bathing accident at Hereford on July 12.Only son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Johnson, of The Stores, Wood End, he was 19 years of age and had served in the R.A.F. as a equipment instructor since last October. Before joining the R.A.F. he was in the Sixth Form at Tamworth Grammar School and was one of the best liked boys in the school.

SNAITH, William Edward Nesbitt - S/Lt(A) - HMS Daedalus - died at H.M.S. Daedalus due to illness.
