AQUINO, J.D., F/O (Ind. 1777, Royal Indian Air Force) - No.6 Squadron, Royal Indian Air Force - King's Commendation for Valuable Services in the Air - awarded as per London Gazette dated 14 June 1945. Public Record Office Air 2/8771 (courtesy of Steve Brew) has citation drafted when he had flown 820 hours, 133 in previous six months.
"By his hard work and determination to achieve success this officer has shown qualities of the highest order. His example has been one of encouragement to all his fellows."
MASILLAMANA, E.D., F/O (Ind 1774, Royal Indian Air Force) - No.6 Squadron, Royal Indian Air Force - King's Commendation for Valuable Services in the Air - awarded as per London Gazette dated 14 June 1945. Public Record Office Air 2/8771 (courtesy of Steve Brew) has citation drafted when he had flown 844 hours, 124 in previous six months.
"This officer's squadron has been employed on the Burma front. The results he obtained on reconnaissance missions were excellent and of the utmost value. He set an example of a high standard to the unit at a time when it was suffering heavy casualties."

"The high standard of this officer's work was an example to the rest of the squadron and worthy of great praise. The unit was working under great difficulties and the high incidence of casualties gave little for encouragement. Nevertheless the results achieved were of great value due to the persistence and endurance displayed by Flying Officer Blunt."
