On the Royal Air Force Commands home page, Jagan, our tireless webmaster, so generously announced the publication of Bill Kirkness's memoir, RAF LIBERATORS OVER BURMA, subtitled FLYING WITH 159 SQUADRON, which I edited and expanded. Thank you, Jagan.
For those with an interest in this book, a 51-minute snippet of my nearly three-hour chat with Angus Wallace, webmaster of ww2podcast.com, went on-line this past week. I discuss the book and my research into 159 Squadron. The full link to the interview is:
http://ww2podcast.com/ww2-podcast/61-raf-liberators-burma-flying-159-squadron/
A 31-minute bonus interview, culled from additional material from our Skype chat, is offered to those who financially contribute to ww2podcast.com. Angus made it very easy for me to yak on and on, and to mostly get it right (with a minimum of "ums", "ya knows", and the like gumming up the broadcast), and I hope a few readers will agree after giving the podcast or even podcasts a listen.
Cheers,
Matt
