DEMPSTER, Elizabeth Smith - LACW - 2040475 - the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website records that she died at 4.00 p.m. at 23 North Street, Leven, due to Pulmonary TB.

GERMANY
TUCKER, Ernest John Francis - W/O - 365070 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at Hamburg. R.A.F. Deaths Overseas lists his unit as 6 B.S.R.U.

BARR, James Miller - Cpl - 1368752 - the Kirkintilloch Herald of August 21st 1946 reported the he died in hospital in Glasgow after his motor-cycle collided with a car on the Kirkintilloch-Cumbernauld road at 7 p.m. He was home on demobilisation leave from Burma, and a former R.A.F. policeman.

Patrick John Fraser Aldred 3055027 , attached to RAF Dum Dum , was dangerously injured in an accident on 15 August transiting between Calcutta and Delhi . He was admitted to thevBritish military hospital, Delhi where he died the following day
