All were killed on Lancastrian G-AGMF, which crashed in an orchard at Broglie, Eure.

DURSLEY R.A.F. MAN'S FATAL FALL FROM LORRY
A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest on Aircraftman Stanley James Higgins, aged 18, of 8, Kings Hill Park, Dursley, who died at Rookswood Hospital, Worcester, after falling from a lorry at Defford Aerodrome, Worcestershire.

TURNER, Charles Kenneth - Sqdn/Ldr - 24047 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at the Brompton Hospital, London.

HOPKINS, Arthur Albert - AC1c - 1215375 - FreeBMD has an Arthur A. Hopkins, aged 37, registered Dartford, Sept 1946. The Deceased Online website has him buried in Greenwich, but I don't have an account wtih that site.

Where did you get this, as I have just been sent a copy of a letter from 2012 from the AHB that states Read was killed in an accident but not a Road Traffic Accident?

John Thomas Read 1535250 , along with LAC Hindwell, were proceeding from unit to Hamburg to return to the UK , when they were involved in a MT accident on 20 August injuring them both. Read was admitted to Number 54 RAF hospital where he died of multiple burns at 22:00 Hours. His funeral was held at 11:00 Hours on 24 August at Munster military cemetery
