Death cert in service record says.

Death due to aircraft crash on fathers farm.

Reported by OC of RCAF Uplands, Maintence Command.

Place of Death is Brock, Ontario

Annoyingly... no other specifics

A little more on the following:

CLAY, Charles Thomas - Cpl - 538364 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at The Emergency Hospital, Sutton, Surrey.

COOPER, Sydney Francis - AC2c - 2273177 and
WOODALL, Jack George - AC2c - 2270749 - The Daily Herald of October 11th 1946 reported that they both died in a lorry accident near Wantage.

HODGES, Frank - F/Sgt - 1802930 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at the General Hospital, Croydon.

Joseph Patrick Mooney 4005159, attached to Number 22 Recruit Centre, died in the Waringfield military hospital of a perforated duodenal ulcer

Sydney Francis Cooper 2273177 and

Jack George Woodall 2270749 both attached to 26t MU

Were both killed when struck by an RAF lorry whilst walking back to RAF Grove. Aircraftman Stanley Robert Wise was also seriously injured. The lorry also belonging to RAF Grove, was being driven without authority

Frank Hodges 1802930 , attached to RAF Croydon , was killed at Croydon Airfield when he was riding on the rear of a lorry driven by LAC P A B Peppingstall carrying 60 lbs of newpapers when he fell off when the vehicle manouveres to turn past a fuel pump and a lorry driven by LAC M J Ryan. He was seen to loose his balance and roll off at 15 MPH and was in the act of getting up when the rear wheel caught him and crushed his head killing him instantly .

James Lawrence Cunningham 3040798 , was admitted seriously ill to a number 80 General hospital at 13:00 Hours on 28 August in great pain. . He was operated upon at 15:00 Hours and a gastric ulcer was discovered and a repair made but He died at 10:00 Hours of peripheral circulatory faliure due to general peritonitis

John Hayward De Pledge ( DEPLEDGE in his records ) 115656 | attached to Number 1 PHU | was admitted dangerously ill to the Westminster hospital, London, SW1 , on 22 August, suffering with a growth in the colon. He died in the City General hospital, Plymouth, of carcinoma of the rectum
